This interface allows you to add a rear and front camera to the OEM monitor of a Mercedes car with Command APS NTG 4.5. It adds active parking lines and integrates with the cars parking sensors to provide a visual parking display.

No special coding is needed as the interface integrates with the LVDS cable behind the vehicle head unit. The rear camera will activate as soon as reverse gear is engaged. The front camera will only activate if reverse gear is selected and then immediately afterwards drive forward gear is selected. The interface has a feature to allow manual activation of the front camera, this is done by pressing and holding the VOICE button on the steering wheel, this feature also allows the front camera input to be used as a general video input for DVD and other video devices.

WHAT IS NTG 4.5?

Mercedes NTG 4.5 is one of the most popular Comand head units, having been installed on many Mercedes car models from 2012-2015. It consists of a 7" TFT monitor built into the top the centre dashboard console (pictured) with a head unit with SD card slot below (also pictured).
